Mozambique President visit to Holland / Damen Shipyard: 16th May, 2017

From 17th to 19th May, 2017, His Excellency, Filipe Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique made an official visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands (Holland). The purpose of the official visit was to meet His Majesty, Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands to further strengthen the bilateral cooperation and economic ties between the Netherlands and Mozambique.

With the support of Zinhoe Oil & Gas Mozambique together with its technical partner, Damen Shipyard, Zinhoe Oil & Gas Mozambique was instrumental in the delegation of the government of Mozambique led by His Excellency, Filipe Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique conducting a site visit at Damen Shipyard construction headquarter in Gorinchem (Netherlands).

The visit was a culmination of ongoing negotiations and engagements between the government of Mozambique and Zinhoe Oil & Gas Mozambique with the support of its technical partner, Damen Shipyard for the provision of maritime services to the government of Mozambique, including the delivery of various vessels to Mozambique (Fast Crew Supplier Vessels (FSV) – Damen FCS 5009, Patrol Supply Vessels (PSV), Cargo vessels, Combi Freighter Vessels, Fast Ferry Vessels – Damen 3609, Dredgers etc.) to be operated by Zinhoe Oil & Gas Mozambique via a concession.

The outcome of the discussions between the government of Mozambique and Zinhoe Oil & Gas Mozambique was for Zinhoe Oil & Gas Mozambique to arrange for the delivery of a Damen Fast Crew Supplier (FCS) 5009 Vessel in Maputo, Mozambique by June 2017.
